Ficus panda  grow quickly, and can easily become too big for your home if you re-pot frequently. Limit re-potting to every other year to help keep your plant’s growth in check! Light: Ficus Panda plants prefer bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight can burn their leaves, so keep them away from windows with strong sunlight. Water: Water your Ficus Panda plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. Be careful not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot. The Ficus plant prefers to dry out some between watering, but do not let the soil completely dry out. We recommend that you water your tree every day in summer and every alternative day in  winter when the top inch of soil is dry. If you decide to place your plant outside as a patio plant, it will need a more frequent watering schedule.A sudden loss of leaves is usually the result of overwatering. Other possibilities are low winter temperatures, low winter light, too much fertilizer, and cold draughts. Yellowing leaf edges and some loss of lower leaves can be a sign of underfeeding. Feed during the growing season.Keep your ficus in bright indirect light. This plant will not tolerate low light and variegation will fade. Close to an eastern window or just a few feet back from a southern or western window is ideal. Water when 50-75% of the soil volume is dry.
